Spring 2020 Honors & Awards

Andrew Luo received the Outstanding Pamplin Senior Award; Carolyn (Carrie) Rock received the H.H. Mitchell Outstanding Leadership Award; and Nicholas Amorim received the College Service Award.

The college honored outstanding alumni and corporate support with awards at the inaugural Pamplin Engagement Summit at the Hotel Roanoke in October.

Greg Kadlec received one of the university’s three 2019 William E. Wine Award, while Kevin Boyle was named the Willis Blackwood Real Estate Director.

The Apex Center for Entrepreneurs received the Outstanding Emerging Entrepreneurship Center Award, and Paul Benjamin Lowry was awarded the 2018 Operational Research Society’s Stafford Beer Medal.

An internationally recognized scholar, Lowry has been identified as the world’s No. 1 information systems scholar, based on publications over the past five years in the field's top six journals.

Six Pamplin students have received awards: Outstanding Senior, H.H. Mitchell Outstanding Leadership, College Service, Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award, Doctoral Student Research Award, and Doctoral Student Research Award (Honorable Mention).

Many faculty members received college awards, including the Career Award for Excellence in Research, the Excellence in International Programs, the International Outreach Excellence, the Outstanding Faculty in Doctoral Excellence, and the College Certificate of Excellence.

Six alumni and one company were honored with the 2018 Pamplin Society Awards - Rising Alumni, Mentoring, Ut Prosim and Corporate Ambassador awards from the Pamplin College of Business.
