Welcome Picnics

The college welcomed its students, faculty, and staff to the new school year with picnics at its Blacksburg and metro Washington, D.C. campuses. The events are part of the college’s efforts to promote greater engagement, collaboration, and sense of community.

At the Northern Virginia Center in Falls Church, the Evening MBA program’s 49 incoming students attended an orientation on Aug. 22. The students were joined by Dean Robert Sumichrast, Associate Dean Parviz Ghandforoush, Evening MBA program faculty and staff, and representatives of the Graduate School.

The students learned about planning their course of study as well as graduate school policies and available resources and networked with faculty, staff, and each other while enjoying lunch.

The Evening MBA is ranked in the nation’s top 20 part-time MBA programs.
